Better connected is Socitm Insight’s annual report on the quality of local authority websites, now in its eleventh year.
This Socitm Insight report published at the end of 2006 investigates the extent to which local authority web and phone channels are ‘joined up’.
Published in June 2007 this Socitm Insight report includes council success stories with online services like schools admissions, recruitment, waste collection, planning, housing lettings and parking.
The Socitm Insight Website Take up service
This service monitors usage and satisfaction with participating authorities’ websites through a visitor exit survey. More than 90 councils now use the service enabling monitoring of usage trends and performance benchmarking.
This is an online community platform run by IDeA that enables knowledge development and sharing through online communities of practice and networks.
This is a competition run by The Power of Information Taskforce on behalf of the Government. A £20,000 prize fund is available to develop the best ideas to the next level.
Among its other ‘web 2.0’ features Redbridge has been running forums.
